Scott Kent

Scott serves as a board member for the Inclusion Network and has volunteered with the organization for over two years.

Scott is the Chief of Police in Alexandria, MN. He has served as a police officer in numerous roles for 25 years in rural communities in Minnesota and North Dakota. He is a dedicated, passionate leader and has taken an active role in strategic planning, operations management, and mentoring staff.  Scott has a passion for helping in all aspects of the community.  He has spoken to thousands of people on topics such as safety and preparations, adverse childhood experiences, and issues related to policing. He works with other law enforcement agencies across the county, facilitating implicit bias workshops. 

Scott has a Criminal Justice/Sociology degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and he is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.  Scott and his wife Amy live in Alexandria, MN, and they enjoy creating memories with their three children on their hobby farm.
