Mike joined the board of the Inclusion Network in 2022. Mike spent his 33-year career with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as a conservation officer. Mike began his career in the Appleton and Morris area in 1986. In 1997, he transferred to the Alexandria station and was a field officer until 2010, when was promoted to the position of Lieutenant and became the District 3 supervisor for West Central Minnesota. He has spoken to thousands of youth regarding safety training for firearms, boating, snowmobiling, and ATV operation. He enjoyed mentoring officers throughout his career as a district supervisor as well.
Mike has been working for the Alexandria Technical & Community College since 2020, doing Covid contact tracing and recruiting for the law enforcement program.
Mike received an Associate degree in Law Enforcement from Alexandria Technical & Community College. He then furthered his education at the University of Minnesota, Morris. Mike and his wife Paddy have three daughters and live in Alexandria.
Mike enjoys playing racquetball, golf, fishing and spending lots of time boating on area lakes with his family.
